As the leaves change and we cosy up for autumn, we’re reflecting on what has been an incredible year for our small, family-run business. From being No.1 in our area on TripAdvisor to launching new experiences — here’s what’s new (and what we’re celebrating) this October…

🎨 Our 1st Birthday Mural
To mark one year of The Courtyard, we’ve had something very special created… Our new hand-painted mural by Creative Ginger, now proudly displayed on the side of our building. The mural was officially opened by MP David Smith and is a celebration of everything we are — our food, our community, and our Northumberland roots. It’s a beautiful reminder of the journey so far, and what’s still to come.

Autumn has officially landed with the arrival of our Pumpkin Spice Latte – available now until December. Warm, spiced, and oh-so comforting… it’s the seasonal sip you’ve been waiting for. Perfect for cozy café mornings or after your afternoon stroll to school.
🍗 What a Dish!
Over the past year at The Courtyard, you’ve eaten, sipped, and savoured your way through some serious favourites — and we’ve crunched the numbers to prove it!
A huge 6,000 pints of Peroni have been poured (cheers to that!), while our rich and comforting Chicken Supreme took the crown as our most-ordered dish with over 4,000 plates served. Sticky Toffee Pudding had its moment too, flying out of the kitchen 3,000 times, alongside the same number of hearty Roast Beef dinners and golden, crispy Battered Fish.
And if you’ve ever popped in for a coffee, you’re in good company — 8,000 cups have been brewed and poured over the past 12 months. We’ve loved every single order, and we can’t wait to see what becomes your new favourite in year two!
